About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Litigation Paralegal with a strong background in law and motion practice and specialized expertise in post-judgment enforcement.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment and has a proven track record in drafting complex motions, managing trial preparation, and executing post-judgment recovery strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Law & Motion Practice (Primary Focus)

Draft, review, and file complex motions, including motions for summary judgment, motions to compel, appellate briefs, and post-judgment enforcement motions (contempt, wage garnishment, asset seizure).
Ensure precision in legal document formatting (Table of Contents, Table of Authorities, citations) and adherence to court rules.
Manage trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, affidavits, and memoranda for state and federal cases.

2. Post-Judgment Enforcement (Secondary Focus)

Lead post-judgment enforcement actions, including drafting writs of execution, bank levies, and coordinating debtor examinations.
Track and enforce compliance with post-judgment orders, ensuring deadlines for collections and asset recovery are met.
Conduct asset searches and collaborate with attorneys to develop enforcement strategies.

3. Case & Litigation Support

Oversee end-to-end case management, from discovery through post-judgment recovery, calendaring critical deadlines for motions, hearings, and appeals.
Propound and respond to discovery requests, ensuring timely and accurate document production.
Serve as a liaison between attorneys, clients, court clerks, and opposing counsel.

4. Technical & Administrative Excellence

Utilize ECF/PACER and state e-filing systems for seamless court submissions.
Conduct advanced legal research using Westlaw/Lexis to support motion drafting and enforcement strategies.
Proofread and edit legal documents for accuracy, grammar, and compliance with procedural rules.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification: Paralegal certificate (ABA-approved) or 7+ years of litigation experience.

Experience:

5+ years in law and motion practice (summary judgment, appellate briefs, discovery motions).
3+ years in post-judgment enforcement (wage garnishment, asset seizures, debtor exams).
Proficiency in California and Federal Civil Procedure.
Mastery of document drafting (ToC, ToA, formatting) and trial preparation.
Expertise in e-filing (ECF/PACER) and legal research tools (Westlaw/Lexis).
Strong organizational skills to manage high-volume caseloads.
