A highly respected law firm in Wilmington is seeking a Senior Commercial Litigation Attorney with a minimum of 8 years of experience to join its litigation team. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside a robust business reorganization and restructuring practice on complex, high-value matters.
Important Info:
Billables- 2,000
Salary- $400k+
Hybrid Schedule- 3 days in office
What You’ll Do:
Serve as lead counsel in sophisticated commercial and corporate litigation
Handle disputes involving mergers, acquisitions, financing transactions, and “busted deals”
Represent corporations, directors, significant shareholders, and partnerships in high-stakes litigation
Work on class and derivative actions, proxy contests, and takeover battles
Advise and represent special committees reviewing conflict-of-interest transactions
Handle matters in the Delaware Court of Chancery, including: books and records inspections, advancement and indemnification claims, proceedings to compel annual meetings and valuation disputes
You’ll thrive if you have:
8+ years of commercial or corporate litigation experience, with lead counsel responsibilities
Licensed and in good standing with the Delaware state bar
Deep understanding of Delaware corporate law and practice
Experience with asset purchase agreements and financing documents preferred
Strong oral advocacy and courtroom presence
Excellent judgment and ability to manage complex cases independently
