Job Overview
We are a busy and client-focused personal injury law firm seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support our litigation team. The ideal candidate will have experience in civil litigation, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive attitude.
Responsibilities
Provide administrative and clerical support to the paralegal and litigation team
Draft and format correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests/responses, and other legal documents
Organize and maintain case files, both physical and digital
Assist with calendaring deadlines, court dates, and appointments
Communicate with clients, medical providers, courts, and opposing counsel as needed
Request, track, and follow up on medical records and bills
Assist with trial preparation and document organization
Perform data entry and maintain accurate case information in case management software
Requirements
Familiarity with civil litigation procedures and terminology
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management software (e.g., Clio, Needles, or similar)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
