Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in family law procedures with an emphasis on legal discovery, subpoenas, and drafting. This role is essential in supporting our attorneys by managing legal documentation, conducting research, and ensuring compliance with legal procedures. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Assist attorneys with case preparation and legal research.
Draft Subpoenas and Financial Statements in accordance with MA/NH law.
Manage and organize legal documents using document management systems.
Conduct document review to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant laws.
Maintain legal case management files, ensuring all documents are up-to-date.
Communicate effectively with clients and third parties, demonstrating professional phone etiquette.
File legal documents with courts and other relevant agencies as required.
Experience
Previous experience working in a law office or similar environment is a must.
Preference for applicants with a JD or legal education background.
Familiarity with family law is strongly preferred.
Proficiency in document management systems and legal case management software.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for this role.
