Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Immigration Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys in managing immigration cases, ensuring compliance with legal procedures, and providing exceptional support throughout the immigration process. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to helping clients navigate their immigration journeys.
Responsibilities
Assist attorneys with the preparation and filing of immigration petitions and applications.
Conduct thorough research on immigration laws and regulations to support case development.
Transcribe legal documents and maintain accurate records of case files.
Perform data entry tasks to ensure all client information is up-to-date and organized.
File necessary documents with government agencies in a timely manner.
Collaborate with clients to gather required documentation for their cases.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with legal standards.
Utilize legal research tools such as LexisNexis to gather relevant case law and precedents.
Skills
Proficiency in workers compensation law, family law, patent law, and contract law is preferred.
Strong data entry skills with an emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent research abilities to effectively navigate complex legal issues.
Familiarity with legal administrative tasks including document management and filing systems.
Ability to transcribe legal documents accurately and efficiently.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective client interaction.
Proficient in using legal software and tools relevant to immigration law practices.
