Position Overview:
We are seeking a Legal Assistant with experience in personal injury pre-litigation to join our team in Torrance. The ideal candidate is organized, empathetic, and detail-oriented, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain consistent and professional communication with clients
Collect and review intake information and documentation relevant to each case
Coordinate medical care, schedule appointments, and track treatment progress
Verify insurance coverage and assist in resolving property damage claims
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the case management system
Collaborate with attorneys and team members to prepare demand packages
Conduct weekly reviews to monitor case status and progress
Organize and maintain complete case files throughout the pre-litigation phase
Perform additional case-related administrative duties as needed
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a personal injury law firm, with a focus on pre-litigation
Demonstrated ability to manage cases from intake through demand preparation
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
Familiarity with medical and insurance terminology preferred
Location and Schedule:
In-person role based in Torrance, CA 90504
Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts
Must be able to relocate prior to start date if not already located in the area
