Purpose & Scope

The Process Excellence Executive, is a key supporting role within the Group Legal team. The role supports the enhancement of the legal function’s operating effectiveness by assisting with process improvement, legal technology and automation initiatives, departmental spend management, and day-to-day operational coordination. This is a non-legal advisory role and does not involve the provision of legal opinions.

Key Roles And Responsibilities

  • Legal Workflow & Process Optimisation: Map, document, and analyse current legal workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and duplication of effort, and work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver technology-led solutions.
  • Legal Department Administration & Departmental Initiatives: Support the rollout of legal operations programmes coordinating cross-functional workstreams and tracking milestones.
  • Budget Monitoring & Financial Management: Assist in preparing and tracking the annual budget, monitoring actual spend against budget, flagging variances, and maintaining the spend tracker.
  • Vendor & Panel Management: Maintain the vendor database and support panel review processes such as RFP drafting, scoring, and benchmarking.
  • Legal Technology & Knowledge Management: Support the evaluation and piloting of new technology tools tracking adoption, time savings, and ROI.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Build and maintain dashboards giving leadership visibility into matter volume, spend, cycle times, risk exposure, and team capacity.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Up to 3 years’ experience in any professional environment — consulting, professional services, procurement, finance, accounting, legal or operations. Fresh graduates with relevant internships are welcome to apply.
  • Qualifications: A degree in law, accounting, computer science, business/management or a similar discipline.
  • Proficiency with core business tools, including Excel and PowerPoint, together with a strong interest in learning and applying new technologies, including data visualisation, workflow automation (such as Sharepoint, Power Apps and SAP) and AI-enabled tools.
  • Strong written communication skills, with a collaborative, discreet and self-motivated working style suitable for engagement with internal stakeholders across different functions.
  • Exposure to legal operations, legal service delivery, legal technology platforms, or project coordination would be advantageous, but is not essential.
