Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Legal Assistant to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will support the General Counsel in litigation matters and assist with contract review, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to company’s legal standards. This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This is a remote position, but the role requires in-person attendance at legal review meetings in Boca Raton, Florida two to three times per month.

Key Responsibilities

Litigation Support:

Assist in all stages of litigation, including case preparation, document management, and witness support.
Draft and review emails and other correspondence with outside counsel
Respond to subpoenas and other discovery requests/responses.
Conduct research to support case strategy and arguments.
Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and accessible.
Manage deadlines and coordinate schedules for depositions, hearings, and court filings.

Contract Review:

Review and analyze contracts to ensure compliance with legal and organizational terms and conditions.
Identify potential risks, inconsistencies, or areas requiring clarification within contracts.
Assist with the drafting and redlining of agreements, amendments, and other contractual documents.
Maintain a centralized contract repository and monitor contract lifecycle timelines.
Collaborate with the General Counsel to address questions or concerns regarding contract terms.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Paralegal certification from an accredited program is not required but is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a paralegal or attorney, with a focus on litigation and contract review.
Strong knowledge of legal terminology, litigation process, and general knowledge of contract law principles.
Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and case management software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with compliance and regulatory matters is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
