We sell over 100 used cars per month and are seeking an experienced Automotive Tag & Title clerk to assist process Maryland and Out of State deals. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of Automotive Tag & Title experience, but we will consider someone with drive and a great personality to learn from our current tag and title clerk. You must be be focused, team oriented and have a great personality with the flexibility to adapt to volume. Our accounting department is built on teamwork with room for advancement.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Process Retail and Wholesale Title work
Prepare and submit out of state Title work via Title Service
Examine vehicle title for accuracy and conformity to specified requirements
Verify acceptance of the title in the state for which it is filed
Confirm accurate VIN number, odometer reading, and releases of liens and that titles contain no alterations
Resolve titling issues through interaction with customers, dealers, and regulatory agencies
Maintain knowledge of current DMV regulations as they relate to vehicle titles and interpret titling regulations in each state for which the vehicles are processed
Run outstanding title reports, review, and contact sellers regarding outstanding titles
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Maintaining the tag & title schedule
Processing out of state title work
Processing Maryland title work
Ability to prioritize and self-monitor workflow
Experience with Microsoft Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 – $25.00 per hour
