Responsibilities
- Manage the entire escrow process for real estate transactions, including title searches, document review, and closing procedures
- Conduct thorough title searches and review title records, public records, and legal descriptions to verify property ownership and encumbrances
- Prepare and review legal documents such as easements, deeds, affidavits, and closing statements in compliance with underwriting guidelines
- Coordinate with title companies, lenders, attorneys, and clients to facilitate seamless communication and transaction progress
- Ensure adherence to all real estate laws, regulations, and company policies during the escrow process
- Utilize real estate transaction management software and mapping software to track progress and generate reports
- Perform research on public records and title history to resolve discrepancies or issues that may arise during processing
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and communication purposes
- Strong knowledge of real estate law, legal descriptions, easements, rights-of-way, and title processing procedures
- Experience with real estate documentation review including title search results, legal descriptions, and title review processes
- Familiarity in our escrow software Summit is a huge plus, but will always provide training
- Ability to conduct detailed research using public records and title records to support transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of underwriting guidelines adherence for accurate escrow processing
- Excellent client communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence in a law office or real estate environment
