We are seeking an experienced Escrow Officer to join our established title and settlement services team in Michigan. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with hands-on experience managing escrow operations from order initiation through final policy delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transaction Management: Study and qualify buyer, seller, and property details to determine closing requirements; lead transactions to completion by resolving policy exceptions, clearing titles, and preparing final closing packages.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for real estate offices, attorneys, lenders, and brokers to obtain critical documentation and initiate title orders.
  • Title Curative & Underwriting: Interface with internal/external underwriters and third-party vendors to resolve and clear complex curative items, identify missing title issues, and ensure full compliance.
  • Settlement & Documentation: Prepare, review, and verify the accuracy of settlement statements against underwriter and lender instructions. Work closely with centralized processing departments to fulfill specific order requests.
  • Closing Operations: Schedule closings, prepare closer packages (policies, invoices, title reports, affidavits, municipal updates, and surveys), and assist closing agents with on-the-fly updates.
  • Business & Team Growth: Maintain and nurture relationships with potential real estate and lending referral partners while collaborating across departments to support company expansion.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Direct Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent experience working directly as an Escrow Officer handling residential or commercial transactions for a title company.
  • Industry Mastery: Solid understanding of title concepts, types of real estate ownership, chain of title, recording procedures, curatives, prorations, endorsements, and policy types.
  • Curative Skills: Experience resolving curative items preferred.
  • Client Relations: Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills with a proven track record of managing relationships with buyers, sellers, agents, and attorneys.
  • Work Location: Must be willing to work 100% in-office.

Software & Onboarding

  • Production software training will be provided upon hire.

Pay: $55,000.00 per year
