A prestigious global law firm is seeking an entry level assistant to join their Talent Management team. This role provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to the global Legal Talent Office. You will manage the full lifecycle of lawyer employment—from onboarding and data integrity to performance reviews and offboarding—while ensuring a high-touch, professional experience for all legal staff.

Key Responsibilities

HRIS & Data Management:

  • Maintain global lawyer data in HRIS systems to ensure 100% accuracy across all platforms.

Onboarding & Lifecycle Support:

  • Coordinate pre-hire logistics: background/conflict checks, relocation, and eligibility verification.
  • Manage transitions: bar admissions, leaves of absence, transfers, and departures.
  • Track law clerk and intern activity from start to finish.

Performance & Compensation:

  • Prepare essential materials for the lawyer performance review and annual compensation cycles.

Office Operations & Engagement:

  • Organize office tours, headshots, and “life event” acknowledgments (gifts/donations).
  • Provide general support: attendance tracking, expense reconciliation, and updating office manuals.

Talent Initiatives:

  • Assist with recruiting logistics, summer programs, diversity events, and professional training sessions.

Information Security:

  • Strictly adhere to firm policies regarding data protection, confidentiality, and asset security.

Qualifications

  • Skills: Exceptional project management and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Communication: Professional, service-oriented demeanor with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with PeopleSoft or similar HRIS is a significant plus.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.

Education & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a professional services environment is preferred.
  • Availability: Must be available for occasional evening overtime as needed.
