The Wayne County Prosecuting Attorney is seeking a full-time assistant prosecuting attorney. Duties will primarily involve prosecuting both misdemeanor and felony domestic violence cases in the Wayne County Municipal Court and the Wayne County Common Pleas Court. Since this position is partially funded by a Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) grant, the successful applicant will also be responsible for administering the VAWA grant process from year to year.
Requirements for the position include: licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio, good communication and interpersonal skills, a strong sense of professional behavior, impeccable integrity, and an ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure. Compensation for this position will be between $61,000-$96,000/year, commensurate with experience and abilities, and will include full county benefits.
