Job Summary:
Intakes are the first point of contact in opening new cases, they interact with different departments and outside clients, they need to work in a quick and efficient manner.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Processes new case requests for new/existing patient treatment via referrals from chiropractors and M.D.’s, marketers, and law firms
· Responsible for data entry/collection and verifying patient information, as well as the initial request for LOP’s and HIPAA’s
· Handle standard requests, applications, referrals, ER and doctor-to-doctor/additional treatment requests both internally and externally
· Cover the phones and the front desk as first tier backup for the receptionist
· Responsible for handling incoming calls from law firms and patients as it relates to status of pending requests
· An integral function is the timeliness of processing new requests. The standard processing time is 24-36 hours.
· Cross over in function with scheduling where the cases being processed are pending urgent scheduling and/or when the requests are made directly to scheduling
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent organizational and time management skills
· Ability to handle high volume in a fast-paced environment required
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
· Needles experience preferred
· Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
Education and Experience:
· 2+ years customer service, or professional office experience required
· Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
· Legal or medical document experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
· Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times
Position is located fully in office.
