A specialized Temecula law firm is seeking an experienced Trust and Estates Attorney to complement its estate planning and estate litigation department. Compensation:
$125,000 – $150,000 yearly
Responsibilities:
Interface with new and existing clients and collaborate with our legal team to manage cases from beginning to end.
Provide expert advice on estate planning and wealth transfer strategies to individuals, couples, and business owners.
Review and customize legal documents related to trusts and estates, such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and trust transfer documentation.
Oversee the administration of trusts, including the distribution of assets, the resolution of disputes, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Provide clients high quality legal advice, strategy and representation in California probate and trust litigation matters in court, mediations, and depositions.
Minimum billed and collected hours: 1,350 per year for full-time (we expect high-quality work).
Origination is not required, but is encouraged and rewarded.
Qualifications:
A Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
Active membership in good standing in the State Bar of California.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience practicing in California probate courts, including serving as counsel of record on at least 25 filed petitions.
Experience with Wealth Counsel preferred.
Experience preparing estate tax returns is a plus.
Honest, confident, and independent self-starter.
Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
Outstanding interpersonal skills.
