A law firm in Washington D.C. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Energy and Infrastructure (Project Finance) Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate should have substantial expertise in representing lenders, including US Government Agencies, providing financing to energy and infrastructure projects. Familiarity with non- and limited-recourse project financing, as well as experience in negotiating and drafting financing and security agreements, is essential.
The candidate must also have a strong understanding of the “Project Documents” underlying such financing.
Represent lenders, including US Government Agencies, in financing energy and infrastructure projects.
Handle non- and limited-recourse project financing.
Negotiate and draft the full suite of financing and security agreements associated with an E&I projects financing.
Review and understand “Project Documents” underlying the financing.
Advise clients on legal strategies related to project finance.
Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on complex financing issues.
Collaborate with clients to develop and implement financing strategies.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Stay updated on industry trends and legal developments in energy and infrastructure financing.
Experience representing lenders in financing energy and infrastructure projects, including US Government Agencies.
Familiarity with non- and limited-recourse project financing.
Proven ability to negotiate and draft financing and security agreements.
Strong understanding of the “Project Documents” underlying project financing.
High academic achievement.
Strong interest in the subject area.
Prior experience in a peer law firm.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Educati
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited US law school.
High academic achievement.
Admitted to the D.C. Bar or possessing the ability to waive in.
