Job Summary
Leading law firm with various locations seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Employment Litigation Attorney to join their legal team in Mineola, NY.
In this role, you will lead and manage employment-related litigation cases, providing expert legal counsel and advocacy to protect the organization’s interests. Your expertise in employment law, combined with your strong litigation skills, will be essential in navigating complex legal challenges, drafting legal documents, and representing the organization in court proceedings.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of employment disputes, including wrongful termination, discrimination claims, wage and hour violations, and other workplace-related legal issues. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organized, and passionate about advocating for fair employment practices.
Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of employment litigation cases from inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, negotiations, and trial preparation.
- Provide strategic legal advice on employment law matters such as wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, wage and hour laws, and employee rights.
- Draft and review legal documents including motions, briefs, settlement agreements, and client correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools like LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and stay current on relevant statutes and case law.
- Represent the organization in court depositions, mediations, hearings, and settlement negotiations to advocate effectively for the organization’s position.
- Collaborate with HR and management teams to develop policies that mitigate legal risks related to employment practices.
- Maintain detailed case management records and ensure compliance with procedural law requirements throughout litigation processes.
Experience
- JD
- NYS bar admission, good standing
- 3+ years employment litigation experience required
- Strong negotiation skills
- Experience conducting court depositions and managing complex legal research projects using LexisNexis or Westlaw platforms.
- Strong writing skills for drafting legal motions, briefs, contracts, and other essential legal documents.

Pay: $165,000.00 – $250,000.00 per year
