A law firm seeks an Employment Law Trial Attorney to join its team in Los Angeles. This full-time role offers an opportunity to represent clients in high-profile employment law cases, including FEHA discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and disability discrimination claims. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of litigation experience, strong oral and written advocacy skills, and a passion for handling socially important cases.

Duties

Conduct client intake and manage a caseload under the supervision of senior attorneys.

Take depositions, draft motions, and argue cases in court.

Coordinate discovery efforts with paralegals and ensure case files are up to date.

Represent clients in employment law litigation, particularly in areas such as discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and disability accommodation issues.

Work closely with clients to develop legal strategies and provide counsel.

Maintain high levels of organization to effectively prioritize and manage case timelines.

Requirements

A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Active membership in the California State Bar.

A minimum of two years of experience in employment law litigation.

Experience handling cases related to FEHA, disability discrimination, harassment, and retaliation under Labor Code Section 1102.5.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with a strong ability to advocate in court.

Prior experience in a client-facing role, either within or outside of the legal field.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Education

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school (Required).

Certifications

California State Bar License (Required).

Membership in the California Employment Lawyers Association (CELA) is highly recommended.
