Employment Attorney Position
Fair Law Firm is hiring an associate attorney for an in-office position to handle a variety of employment litigation cases (and some non-litigation issues). The ideal candidate will have experience litigating cases in Florida state and federal courts, preferably involving employment law issues. Typical cases involve wage claims under Florida and federal law, discrimination and retaliation claims, and restrictive covenants, to name a few.
Compensation:
$90,000 – $120,000 (Depending on experience) yearly
Responsibilities:
Meeting with new and existing clients;
Arguing at court hearings;
Negotiating potential case settlements at mediations and settlement conferences;
Legal research and factual analysis to develop case strategies and arguments;
Assessing potential case outcomes;
Conducting depositions, witness interviews, and client consultations;
Advising and counseling clients;
The ideal attorney will be willing to learn, work hard, work well with others, and be able to adapt to new challenges.
Qualifications:
Member of The Florida Bar in good standing
At least one year working as an attorney in a law firm
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and meet all deadlines
Proficient with Mac computers, MS Word/Excel, Adobe, Slack, and Zoom
Bilingual (English and Spanish) helpful

The firm routinely represents clients in Florida in pre-litigation, administrative, litigation, and arbitration matters involving areas of employment law that include unpaid/underpaid wages, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistle blower claims, and restrictive covenants.
The firm’s office is in Coral Gables, close to Merrick Park, and has covered parking. It is nicely appointed, quiet, and clean, and provides a professional work environment.
