Compensation: €60,000 – €120,000 annually + 25% bonus

This Employee Relations Specialist position offers strategic guidance throughout the organisation regarding staff council project development and oversight, ensuring full compliance with local employment regulations. The successful candidate will engage directly with Berlin’s staff council while coordinating with broader EMEA regional representative bodies at a strategic level.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with international business leaders, employment law specialists, and HR teams to create and execute staff council initiatives.

Determine priority areas and develop targeted communication approaches.

Research emerging trends and best practices in staff council management and broader employment matters.

Attend on-site staff council meetings and build trust with regional management and council representatives.

Serve as primary contact point for council relations, leading key discussions on topics such as technology implementations, performance frameworks, staff mobility procedures, and organisational policies.

Prepare documentation and reports for council communications regarding employee matters.

Provide guidance to business leaders and HR partners on staff council and co-determination matters.

Address all co-determination and employment law inquiries.

Create HR compliance training programs when required.

Work alongside global cross-functional teams on HR and council-related initiatives.

Support implementation of international and regional HR projects as EMEA regional coordinator.

Required Qualifications – Employee Relations Specialist

Essential Requirements

Minimum 5 years of human resources experience.

Exceptional communication abilities, negotiation and mediation expertise, and strategic writing capabilities.

Growth mindset, adaptability, and conflict resolution skills.

Capability to thrive in dynamic cross-functional environments.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in employment law and employee relations/industrial relations, particularly regarding staff councils.

Strong grasp of industrial relations, employee consultation processes, and employment law developments.

Foundational knowledge of labour legislation across EMEA territories.
