The Role
We are looking for a Warsaw-based legal professional to work with our EMEA region with solid experience in inhouse legal counseling for Consumer Electronics brands, to ensure company’s full compliance with the local and European laws.
You will be reporting to the Global Head of Legal based in our Chinese HQ, and act as the first contact point for all EMEA regional legal matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in international legal environments and a proven ability to manage complex legal challenges in a fast-paced, cross-cultural setting.
Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day legal advice and support in connection with various legal matters impacting the EMEA regions and other assigned regions
Draft, review and negotiate all types of commercial contracts and related documents
Handle oversea disputes and patent litigation, including strategy formulation, case analysis, and outcome evaluation
Partner with divisional business teams, such as sale, R&D, marketing, human resources and finance, to provide legal counsel on a variety of legal issues including trade, compliance, litigation, and employment,and drive solutions
Ensure international regulatory compliance in the areas including data privacy (e.g., GDPR), export control and anti-unfair competition
Develop and implement programs, internal policies where appropriate due to legal, regulatory, industry, and business developments
Support the setup, registration, and ongoing maintenance of overseas subsidiaries and ensure timely corporate governance filings and changes
Manage and cost effectively monitor outside counsels and law firms
Undertake any other legal-related tasks as needed to support evolving business priorities
To be a perfect fit for this role, you would already have:
8+ years of in-house legal experience, focus on Consumer Electronics industry is a plus;
Solid understanding of EMEA legal systems, especially in commercial, data protection, IP litigation, labor law and corporate governance;
Proven track record in handling cross-border compliance (e.g., GDPR, export controls) or global patent litigation;
Strong knowledge of international contract law and dispute resolution mechanisms;
Entrepreneurial spirit, open-minded, proactive, responsible, be able to act as a team-player, equipped with strong legal analytical skills;
Strong business sense and communication skills coupled with the ability to provide legal and compliance advice in the context of business initiatives and goals.
Ability to effectively work remotely and flexbile and still provide an optimal level of support to the business.
Proficiency in English. Good oral and written English is required. Other European languages proficiency would be a great plus;
Eligibility to work in Poland;
Willingness to co create and share knowledge.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or above in Law with excellent academic background;
