Associate Attorney – Litigation & Collections
Location: Boston, MA
Salary: $90,000 – $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience

About the Role:
We are a fast-paced, results-driven law firm specializing in commercial collections and litigation, and we are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our Boston office. This role is ideal for a motivated legal professional with litigation experience and a passion for advocacy in and out of the courtroom. Experience in the commercial collections industry is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

Represent clients throughout the litigation lifecycle, from initial filing through resolution.
Provide practical legal assessments and strategic advice on collection-related matters.
Draft, review, and edit legal documents including pleadings, briefs, and correspondence.
Communicate and negotiate with opposing counsel and pro se parties to resolve disputes efficiently and amicably.
Document account and file activity in compliance with firm and client policies.
Attend court hearings and proceedings across the state of Massachusetts.
Conduct legal research and provide written opinions on applicable laws and regulations.
Maintain clear and responsive communication with clients to foster strong relationships.
Stay current with legal developments through continuing education, webinars, and seminars.
Perform additional duties as assigned by firm leadership.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) and admission to the Massachusetts Bar and the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in litigation, preferably with a focus on collections.
Strong understanding of Massachusetts civil litigation processes.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-volume environment.
Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel).
Strong negotiation, communication, and active listening skills.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality legal service.
Comfortable managing multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
Eagerness to appear in court and engage directly with opposing parties.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
