Key Responsibilities:
– Representing clients in a variety of disability rights cases, mainly focusing on equal access and discrimination.
– Handling case files from inception through resolution, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.
– Conducting in-depth legal research and analysis on complex disability law issues.
– Participating in all aspects of discovery, including drafting requests and responses and managing depositions.
– Advocating for clients in court and negotiation settings.
– Collaborating with senior attorneys on strategy development for case management and litigation.
– Managing a high volume of cases with a commitment to maintaining quality and attention to detail.
Essential Qualifications:
– J.D. from an accredited law school with a solid academic record.
– Active bar admission in the United States.
– Demonstrated passion for disability rights and social justice.
– Exceptional research and writing skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts effectively.
– Proven ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
– Quick learning abilities and adaptability to new challenges.
– Law Review/Judicial Clerkship experience is highly valued.
– Experience in federal litigation, particularly within disability law, is highly beneficial.
