Early Career Personal Injury Protection Attorney (New York – Remote) Jobs in New York, NY at Allstate
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Attorney to join our legal team.
The Attorney will provide legal advice, represent our company, oversee matters handled by various outside counsel, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The Attorney will work closely with other members of the Legal Team and management.
Key Responsibilities:
Effectively represent our company in court proceedings and administrative cases, as well as in mediations and arbitrations.
Draft legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, and motions with precision and clarity.
Serve as point of contact and oversee the work perform by outside counsel, including participating in strategy development and case evaluation.
Collaborate with management and employees within the company, providing comprehensive, clear and business-savvy legal advice on operational matters.
Maintain accurate records of existing cases, pending claims, other legal matters, and potential liabilities in accordance with best business practices.
Draft and develop legal document templates and procedures to address and facilitate operational recurring matters.
Negotiate settlements on behalf of our company to achieve favorable outcomes and prompt resolution of claims.
Contribute to the analysis of various matters including to ensure the Company’s interests are protected and provide recommendations to decision makers.
Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to practice areas.
Provide legal support with transactions, entity governance and regulatory compliance matters.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctorate (JD) degree and 1-3+ years of practice as an attorney in California.
An additional active license to practice law in another state could be deemed a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate legal concepts clearly and effectively advocate for your position.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
Strong analytical thinking and organizational skills with the ability to manage Exhibit excellent computer skills and proficiency with court e-filing.
