What You’ll Learn & Do
As our Legal Assistant-Receptionist, you’ll play a key role in helping our clients—many of whom speak only Spanish—feel heard, respected, and supported. You will also learn how the legal system works behind the scenes, how to manage legal files, and how to work with courts, government agencies, and attorneys. We will train you thoroughly. All we ask is that you bring a strong work ethic, patience, and a desire to learn.
Key Responsibilities
Be the warm, welcoming face of our office by greeting clients and visitors.
Answer and manage phone calls, emails, and text messages with professionalism and empathy.
Schedule appointments, organize attorney calendars, and help manage deadlines and court dates.
Contact clients with appointment reminders and case updates.
Handle payments, track invoices, and process billing.
Maintain and organize both digital and physical client files.
Draft and send letters and updates to clients.
File and search cases using online court systems.
Provide general administrative and clerical support to keep the office running smoothly.
What We’re Looking For
Fluent in Spanish and English (Native or near-native Spanish speakers strongly encouraged to apply)
A friendly, professional phone manner and patience when helping clients
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong attention to detail
Quick learner with basic PC skills
A valid driver’s license and willingness to undergo a background check
