We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Senior Docketing Managing Clerk to join a dynamic legal team. The position requires 8+ years of law firm work experience.
In this role, one will oversee the management of legal dockets, ensuring timely and accurate tracking of case deadlines, court dates, and procedural requirements across various practice areas. Your expertise will help maintain the efficiency of legal operations, support attorneys with case management, and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and organization. Duties:
- File pleadings, open and close cases, review and docket pleadings, conduct court related research
- Monitor court deadlines, filing dates, and procedural requirements to ensure compliance with jurisdictional rules.
- Utilize legal case management software such as PCLaw, iManage, Westlaw, LexisNexis, and document management systems to organize case files and track important dates.
- Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to review case documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct legal research using Westlaw and LexisNexis to support docketing activities and procedural updates.
- Assist with client communication by preparing correspondence related to case deadlines or procedural notices.
- Support administrative functions including data entry, filing, proofreading documents, and maintaining confidential information securely.
Requirements:
- Must possess knowledge of court procedures in California federal and state court rules
- Familiarity with CourtAlert.com, NYSCEF, CM-ECF, and ACMS
- Knowledge of New York CPLR as well as trial and appellate court rules
- Knowledge of Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, Appellate Procedures, Rules of Bankruptcy, California Code of Civil Practice, Rules of Court and e-filing rules in federal and state courts
- Familiarity with Compulaw, Bloomberg Law, PACER, CourtAlert.com, Pacer-Pro, CourtLink, File & Serve and Courthouse News Service
BS/BA degree preferred, AA degree required
8 years of experience in California highly preferred
Licensed Notary preferred, or a willingness to become licensed

Pay: $125,000.00 – $145,000.00 per year
