We are looking for an attorney beginning their career to join our team. If you have experience as a State’s Attorney, Public Defender, or civil litigator of any type, and you have fewer than 5 years of experience, this is a great opportunity to make a change. Core Responsibilities:
Communicating effectively with clients, opposing counsel, opposing parties, and/or third parties.
Drafting pleadings and motions.
Developing discovery strategy, managing discovery requests and productions.
Preparing for, taking, and defending depositions.
Going to court remotely and in person as needed.
Managing or assisting with substantial components of a broad range of litigation.
Qualifications/Skills
No family law experience required; any type of litigation background is acceptable.
J.D. and license to practice law in Illinois.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Must be able to effectively multi-task, manage time sensitive documents, and have exceptional organizational skills.
Must be able to travel as needed to courts across the Southern Illinois area.
