** Description of Work
** SALARY RANGE: $28,930.00 – $47,775.00 THIS POSITION PERMANENT, PART-TIME, 30 HOURS PER WEEK.
The Office of the District Attorney, Prosecutorial District 10, seeks a qualified candidate to provide legal support services to the prosecutors in the Wake County office.

* Greeting and assisting members of the public, attorneys, and law enforcement personnel in a professional manner.
* Answering and routing phone calls and assisting with general front desk operations.

* Maintaining composure while handling difficult or high-stress interactions.

The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to providing respectful and professional service at all times.

**** Knowledge of:
** court system and procedures; legal terminology; and community resources to refer victims and witnesses.
** Skill in:
** Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; accurately typing 35-40 wpm; and answering a multi-line telephone system.
** Ability to:
** interview to elicit information from victims and witnesses to assure appropriate services; coordinate and schedule the daily operations of the victim and witness program; manage the court appearances of victims and witnesses to ensure their presence in the courtroom when needed; communicate orally and in writing with persons of diverse backgrounds; establish and maintain effective working relationships with law enforcement officers, officials of related agencies and the general public;

and calmly handle stressful situations.
