Paralegal – Complex Litigation & Dispute Resolution
Jones Foster is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our expanding Complex Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice in our West Palm Beach office. This is a newly created role designed to support the growth of our litigation team. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of experience in complex litigation and dispute resolution, a strong command of court rules and procedures, and a proactive approach to case management. In this role, the paralegal will be responsible for managing complex litigation cases from inception through trial or settlement, ensuring that all case files—both physical and digital—are thoroughly organized and maintained. The position involves assisting with drafting and filing legal documents, assisting with discovery, and preparing for trial. The paralegal will interact professionally with clients, attorneys, court personnel, and other parties, providing high-level support and guidance. This role requires prioritizing multiple tasks and managing concurrent projects effectively under general direction, with most work requiring minimal attorney revision. Additionally, the paralegal will utilize legal research tools and the firm’s information technology systems to support casework and ensure efficiency. A strong understanding of practice-specific procedures, client matters, and commercial litigation processes is essential to succeed in this position. As a Paralegal at Jones Foster, here is what you will do:
· Meet with attorney, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects.
· Assist with drafting legal documents, including routine pleadings and motions, affidavits, and interrogatories.
· Files motions and pleadings according to judicial procedures.
· Meets with clients and witnesses and prepares summaries of their statements.
· Prepare, organize, store, and retrieve case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, exhibits, and other items.
· Assist attorneys with trial and evidentiary hearing preparation and conducting trials and hearings.
· Manage complex litigation cases from inception through trial or settlement, ensuring that all case files—both physical and digital—are thoroughly organized and maintained.
· Develop and maintain records regarding billable hours spent on specific cases.

· Full proficiency with advanced, multifunction word processing software including Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and PDF programs) or related software.
· Proficiency with electronic document review platforms.
· Experience working with multiple attorneys.
· Strong initiative and follow-through required.
· Experience in iManage and Coyote is a plus.
· Bachelor’s degree from an American Bar Association (ABA) approved paralegal educational program or a four-year degree and a paralegal certificate from an ABA-certified program preferred.
· Minimum five (5) years of experience in a legal environment or law firm.
· Notary for the State of Florida required.
