Summary/Objective:
The Director of Legal Services is responsible for designing and implementing FPSB’s Affiliate Assessment program and administering Affiliation and License Agreements with the company’s global network of certifying bodies. This position will also have primary responsibility for oversight of FPSB’s data privacy and security program and will support other key legal functions, including contract review and drafting and protection of FPSB’s intellectual property.
Essential Functions
· Direct all aspects of FPSB’s Affiliate Assessment Program, including developing and updating assessment criteria and processes, conducing assessments, developing and implementing compliance plans and collecting / analyzing assessment data
· Oversee administration of FPSB’s Affiliation and License agreements; recommend agreement updates and improvements
· Review, interpret and draft legal agreements, statements of work and memoranda of understanding
· Develop and implement FPSB’s data privacy and data security policies to ensure compliance with applicable legislation and industry best practice
· Support FPSB’s legal function as requested, including in the areas of intellectual property licensing, trademark and copyright law

· Mastery of MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook. Advanced knowledge of MS Excel preferred.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Desire to be part of a small team making a positive impact in the global financial community.
· Understanding of financial reporting preferred.
Qualifications
· Juris Doctor required
· 5-10 years’ experience practicing law in one or more of the following areas:
o Contract review, interpretation, drafting and negotiation or commercial litigation
o Data privacy security; technology law
o Compliance
· Experience working with individuals in prominent positions across diverse sectors and cultures
· Experience developing and managing departmental budgets / resources
· Experience in trademark, copyright and/or intellectual property licensing welcome
