Position Type: Full-Time Our client is an expanding, dynamic law firm seeking an ambitious and motivated Associate Attorney to join our growing Workers’ Compensation Department in Miami. This is an exciting opportunity for a lawyer looking to make a significant impact in the field of workers’ compensation defense.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle an active caseload, including case management from inception through resolution, working independently on assigned matters.
Engage in all aspects of workers’ compensation defense, including researching, drafting legal documents, and providing strategic counsel to clients.
Take depositions, interview witnesses, and handle discovery matters with professionalism and efficiency.
Prepare and file motions, responses, and other necessary legal documents in a timely manner.
Participate in trial preparation and, when appropriate, represent clients in court.
Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases and assist with trial strategies.
Preferred Qualifications:
While prior workers’ compensation experience is not required, candidates must demonstrate a strong interest in the area of Florida workers’ compensation law.
Strong legal research and writing skills.
Experience in general discovery, including handling depositions, responding to written discovery, and managing motions.
Trial experience is a plus but not required.
