Under the general direction of the Chief Counsel, the Attorney IV works independently to advise the California Department of Technology, and its executives and management, on the more complex and sensitive administrative and legal matters affecting the department’s specialized operations. The Attorney IV acts as a specialist in public contracting law and state and federal government procurement law relating to Information Technology (IT) procurements and project management/oversight.
This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code. The position is responsible for making, or participating in the making, of governmental decisions that may potentially have a material effect on personal financial interests. The appointee is required to complete form 700 within 30 days of appointment. Failure to comply with the Conflict of Interest Code requirements may void the appointment
