Direct Hire Litigation Assistant
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Job Type: Full-Time, Hybrid (3 days on site, 2 days remote)
Compensation: $80, annually, DOE.

Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with all aspects of litigation, including discovery, court filings, calendaring, and trial preparation.
- Manage and coordinate electronic filings in Federal and California courts.
- Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents with high accuracy.
- Maintain case files, track deadlines, and support attorneys with scheduling and docketing.
- Communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, and court personnel.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience supporting multiple attorneys in insurance defense or coverage litigation.
- Extensive knowledge of Federal and California electronic court filing systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to complete tasks efficiently while maintaining high accuracy.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Prior experience in insurance defense or coverage litigation preferred.
- 3+ years of solid civil litigation secretary experience (highly preferred).
- Strong experience with state/federal e‑filing, calendaring, TOA/TOC.
