We are a well-established law firm specializing in bankruptcy law, seeking an experienced and detail-oriented legal assistant or paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bankruptcy case management and a passion for helping clients navigate challenging financial situations.
Key Responsibilities:
– Prepare and file bankruptcy petitions, schedules, and related documents.
– Assist attorneys with case management, including maintaining deadlines and calendars.
– Conduct client intake and gather necessary financial information.
– Communicate with clients, creditors, and court personnel regarding case updates.
– Review and organize financial documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
– Support attorneys in hearings and other proceedings as needed.
Qualifications:
– Minimum of 2 years of experience in bankruptcy law (Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 preferred).**
– Proficiency in bankruptcy software (e.g., Best Case) and Microsoft Office Suite.
– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
– Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
