Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operations of the deli department, ensuring efficient workflow and outstanding service delivery.
- Supervise and train staff on food preparation, safety procedures.
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to maximize profitability.
- Oversee food handling, cooking, and production processes to maintain high-quality standards aligned with food safety regulations.
- Implement staff scheduling, shift management, and performance evaluations to maintain a motivated team environment.
- Ensure compliance with health codes, sanitation standards, and food safety protocols across all deli operations.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, kitchen management, or culinary roles within casual dining or fast-food environments.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising teams, managing hospitality teams, or in restaurant management roles.
- Excellent communication skills for managerial tasks such as interviewing staff, training team members, and coordinating with other departments.
- Deep understanding of food safety management practices and food industry regulations.
- Ability to oversee shift management efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Experience with food production for catering or banquet events is a plus; familiarity with bar or coffee service is beneficial.
