Position Overview:
Role: Insurance Defense Attorney
Location: Irvine, CA (Hybrid – 2 days a week at office)
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Insurance Defense Attorney with at least 2+ years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation, specifically in handling insurance defense matters, and possess excellent legal research, analytical, and courtroom skills. This role offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities to work on challenging and complex cases while collaborating with a team of experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle all aspects of insurance defense litigation, including case evaluation, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, and trial preparation.
Analyze case files, evaluate liability and damages, and provide strategic recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
Draft and review legal pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation-related documents.
Conduct legal research to ensure the effective defense of clients in state and federal courts.
Attend court hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and trials as needed.
Communicate effectively with clients, adjusters, and opposing counsel to ensure timely and efficient case resolution.
Provide guidance and updates to clients regarding case strategy, progress, and outcomes.
Maintain thorough documentation of case files and comply with firm and client billing requirements.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in the state bar.
2+ years of experience in insurance defense, civil litigation, or related practice areas.
