Role Description
We are seeking a Data Privacy and Protection expert to ensure compliance with data protection regulations, specifically the National Data Management Office (NDMO) guidelines and the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL). The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining data privacy policies and practices to protect sensitive information across the organization. Ideal candidate should possess fluency in the Arabic language, enabling effective communication with stakeholders in Arabic-speaking regions.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement data protection policies and procedures in compliance with NDMO and PDPL regulations.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with data privacy laws and internal policies.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for data privacy inquiries and issues within the organization.
• Provide guidance and training to employees on data privacy best practices and compliance requirements.
• Monitor changes in data protection laws and regulations, advising the organization on necessary adjustments to policies and practices.
• Collaborate with IT, legal, and other departments to ensure data security measures are in place to protect personal data.
• Conduct data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) for new projects or initiatives involving personal data.
• Investigate data breaches and incidents, ensuring timely reporting and resolution in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Maintain records of processing activities and ensure transparency in data handling practices.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in law, Information Technology, Data Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in data privacy and protection roles, with a strong understanding of NDMO and PDPL regulations.
• Knowledge of data protection frameworks, compliance standards, and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Languages: Arabic (Must) and English
