Reporting to the Team Leader Contact Centre, the Customer Service Officer is responsible to provide high quality customer service experience in supporting problem resolutions to customer enquiries by telephone, and to assist with email, online and social media enquiries when required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The core functions of the position are as follows but not limited to:
Maintain highest levels of customer service, managing both inbound and outbound calls promptly.
Thorough understanding and communication of the Bank’s product range and services, ensuring customer needs are met or appropriately referred.
Acknowledge and action incoming correspondence within 3 days, and handle customer complaints effectively with timely feedback.
Resolve customer inquiries and issues promptly and professionally, escalating priority matters as needed.
Build sustainable customer relationships and exceed expectations to engage customers.
Meet personal and team targets while adhering to risk, process, and regulatory compliance.
Keep product knowledge up to date for accurate customer assistance and utilize bank systems proficiently.
Stay informed about bank policy changes and campaign promotions, adhering to all standards.
Manage personal development plan to ensure ongoing growth and progress.
ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
A certificate or diploma in a relevant field such as banking operations or customer service.
Minimum 3+ years of experience in a similar customer service role, preferably in a call center or private sector.
Practical knowledge of customer service principles and practices
Proficiency in data entry and typing.
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and active listening.
Customer oriented with strong interpersonal skills
