Job description
SUZUKI LAW, a well-established and respected law firm specializing in Criminal Defense and Personal Injury, is currently seeking to add a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal with a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience to join our team. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with legal professionals in managing case files and providing support across various facets of legal procedures. The average attorney experience at Suzuki Law is currently 18.5 years, and work with our in-house investigators (retired law enforcement) as a team to obtain successful resolutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
· Drafting and preparing pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
· E-filing of legal documents in compliance with court requirements.
· Efficiently managing case files, ensuring all documentation is organized and up to date.
· Handling translations and assisting with general office duties as needed.
· Coordinating correspondence, including formal communication with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
· Requesting and obtaining necessary documents to support case preparation.
· Managing and tracking important deadlines to ensure timely actions.
· Communicating directly with opposing counsel and courts concerning discovery matters, ensuring adherence to all legal protocols.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 2-3 years of paralegal experience, with a focus on case file management.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on clear and professional correspondence.
· High proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
· Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks efficiently, and maintain meticulous attention to detail.
· Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to managing multiple responsibilities.
· A strong work ethic with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
· Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not required.
