Family Law Attorney
Our firm’s team practices in the areas of family law, including divorce, child custody, child support and related areas. We are looking to expand our team with a dynamic, vibrant, energetic and self-motivated attorney or legal paraprofessional to build and maintain their own caseload. The perfect candidate will be focused upon efficient diagnosis of the case issues, as well as strategy, aiming towards a result that serves the highest good of the family. The firm’s perfect candidate will partner with the client and brainstorm strategies that align with the client’s goals, while assertively advocating for the client’s needs and emotional and physical safety at all stages of the proceedings.

Responsibilities

Be responsible for building and maintaining your own client caseload.

Engage in effective communication with clients, witnesses, attorneys, judicial staff, fellow team members and others.

Be responsible for all aspects of trial preparation and attend/conduct trials.

Write with excellence, having the ability to draft a range of legal documents from form pleadings to correspondence to pre-trial/post-trial motions.

Possess strong legal research skills and have a keen ability to apply current Arizona law to the facts of each individual case to optimize the client’s position on contested issues, identifying areas which could be “gray.”

Enjoy identifying, locating and developing case relevant information.

Prepare and file basic legal documents and correspondence.

Possess strong communication skills, prioritizing listening skills.

Recognize that prompt, responsive follow-up communication will ensure strong relationships, both with clients and within the firm.

Possess a strong command of the Arizona Rules of Family Law Procedure, Local Rules, as well as the Arizona Rules of Evidence.

Prioritize deadline monitoring, the inevitable juggling of projects and tasks, and a commitment to ensuring all deadlines, whether internal or external, are met with excellence.

Skills

Strong familiarity with Arizona law, the Arizona Rules of Family Law Procedure, and the ability to navigate the inside of a courtroom with confidence and ease.

Satisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal office with a willingness to improve that satisfactory knowledge to mastery level.

Computer literacy.

Command of the English language.

Working knowledge of case management software.

Excellent organizational skills.
