Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of legal principles and procedures related to insurance claims and monetary collections of the same, along with excellent organizational and research skills. As a Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting attorneys by managing case files, conducting legal research, and preparing documentation. This position requires a proactive individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
Preparing legal documents relating to Medical Insurance Claims, such as Motions for recovery of funds due to medical practitioners.
Conduct thorough legal research to assist in case preparation and strategy development.
Filing legal documents through court systems such as NYSCEF.
Review, organize, and manage legal documents using document management systems.
Transcribe legal documents and correspondence as needed.
Assist in the preparation of pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
Maintain accurate case files and ensure all documentation is up-to-date.
Perform clerical duties such as filing, scanning, and data entry related to legal cases.
Experience
Previous experience as a Paralegal in working with insurance claims and collections.
Strong knowledge of law office procedures and legal terminology.
Proficiency in document review processes and familiarity with document management systems.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Well versed in filing new cases in New York Civil and Supreme Courts, as well as filing legal documents pertaining to the same.
*Final salary is determined by experience and qualifications. This job has the potential to be Hybrid. Benefits include paid vacation time after one (1) year of employment.*

Pay: $50,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
