Handelin Law is an established law firm that focuses on estate planning, probate and trust administration, and business. We are seeking an experienced paralegal/legal assistant to join our team.
Responsibilities
Answer phone calls
Prepare a variety of legal documents under attorney direction and supervision
Prepare correspondence
Create and manage multiple files
Calendar management for attorney and assist other team members with a variety of tasks as assigned
Assist with documents and pleadings pertaining to Probate and Trust Administration
Prepare and file documents with Nevada courts
Prepare materials for supervising attorney and complete basic accounting and billing tasks
Facilitate contractual workflow: manage the intake of contract requests, track contract negotiation and execution
Skills
Excellent legal research and writing skills
Must be able to routinely meet deadlines and be prepared to be responsive to client requests on a daily basis.
Perform a wide variety of administrative tasks
Maintain calendars and schedule meetings in Outlook and Clio
Strong computer skills (proficient knowledge in Adobe and Microsoft Suite -Word, Outlook, and Excel)
Self-starter who can multi-task and manage own time
Maintain regular communication with clients
Track and organization numerous documents, including contracts, memorandums and pleadings
Extensive proofreading, redlining, and work with successive iterations
Dependable and reliable
Familiarity with all Nevada courts; and all Nevada county recorder and assessor websites
Required Experience:
2 – 4 years of paralegal/legal assistant experience A MUST
