CSV Digital

CSV Digital provides IT support to all jurisdictions, ensuring reliable and consistent delivery of applications, digital services, and infrastructure. This includes management of core systems, cloud and on-premises environments, and user support to enable seamless day-to-day operations. In addition, CSV Digital offers overarching architectural guidance and security governance across the IT landscape. This ensures that technology solutions are aligned with strategic objectives, follow best-practice standards, and maintain robust security and compliance across all services.

About The Role

Offered on a full-time ongoing basis, the position of Court Transcript Officer (CTO) operates within the Victorian Government Reporting Service (VGRS) which facilitate recording and transcript services to the courts of Victoria within the criminal jurisdiction and coronial matters in the Coroners Court. The role is responsible for the creation and production of transcript within the Victorian courts.

Duties Of The CTO Include

  • Transcribing audio-visual court recordings in an accurate and timely manner to the Victorian courts including the Supreme Court, County Court, Court of Appeal, Practice Court, Magistrates' Court and Coroners Court using individual set formats and styles
  • Proofreading and editing transcript segments to ensure consistency with court recordings
  • Assisting the Court Transcription Team Leader with preparation and distribution of transcript to the VGRS stakeholders

About You

  • Typing Speed of a minimum of 75 Words Per Minute (WPM) with 98% accuracy
  • Demonstrated experience in using Microsoft Office applications and court recording software, with the ability to quickly learn new software/applications.
  • Sound working knowledge of the English language, including an understanding of its working, structure, syntax and grammar, with the ability to identify legal, medical, forensic and psychiatric terminology, including Latin phrases
