Job Overview
I am seeking a part-time dedicated and detail-oriented Personal Injury/Medical Malpractice Paralegal to join a solo attorney practitioner. The ideal candidate should have experience in the areas of personal injury and medical malpractice law and be able to help with tasks such as case management, legal research, and propounding and responding to discovery. This position requires strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of legal procedures, and the ability to work efficiently.
Other Duties
Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings by organizing case files and documentation.
Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and gather relevant information.
Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
Maintain accurate records of case progress and deadlines to ensure timely filing of documents.
Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather necessary information for cases.
Organize and manage case files, ensuring all documents are properly filed and easily accessible.
Provide executive administrative support to attorney as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing calendars.
Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations pertaining to personal injury cases.
Experience
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Proficient in legal research techniques and familiar with various legal databases.
Experience and knowledge with respect to personal injury and medical malpractice law.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
