Job Role

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – Thailand is the country's highest executive leadership position, responsible for leading the company's overall business operations, corporate governance, regulatory strategy, government relations, and long-term commercial growth.

Reporting directly to the Board of Directors and working closely with global leadership, this role serves as the primary executive representative of the organization in Thailand. The successful candidate will drive business expansion, oversee regulatory compliance and licensing activities, establish strong relationships with government agencies and regulators, and ensure that the company's strategic objectives align with Thailand's evolving financial services and digital economy landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the overall corporate strategy, business growth plans, and long-term market expansion initiatives in Thailand.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key government authorities, regulatory agencies, policymakers, and industry stakeholders.
  • Lead government relations strategies and provide executive guidance regarding regulatory developments, legislative changes, and public policy affecting business operations.
  • Oversee all licensing, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance activities to ensure full compliance with applicable financial regulations.
  • Serve as the primary executive representative for interactions with regulators, government agencies, industry associations, and strategic partners.
  • Lead corporate risk management initiatives covering regulatory compliance, consumer protection, anti-money laundering, data privacy, and corporate governance.
  • Drive strategic initiatives supporting digital financial innovation while ensuring alignment with national regulatory frameworks.
  • Represent the company at executive meetings, industry conferences, regulatory consultations, and government forums.
  • Collaborate closely with global leadership, legal teams, compliance officers, and business units to execute corporate objectives.
  • Lead organizational development, executive decision-making, financial performance, and operational excellence across the Thailand business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law, Political Science, Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Public Policy, or other related disciplines. A Master's Degree is highly preferred.
  • Thai national with extensive professional experience operating within Thailand's financial services, regulatory, or public policy environment.
  • Minimum 10–15 years of progressive executive leadership experience within financial services, fintech, banking, digital payments, financial regulation, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Proven experience leading government relations, regulatory affairs, public policy, corporate affairs, or executive management functions.
  • Strong track record of managing financial licensing processes, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance within regulated industries.
  • Deep understanding of Thailand's financial regulatory framework, digital economy landscape, financial services legislation, and electronic transaction regulations.
  • Practical knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF), data privacy regulations, consumer protection, and corporate governance best practices.
  • Extensive professional network within government agencies, regulatory authorities, financial institutions, industry associations, and key business stakeholders.
  • Exceptional leadership, executive presence, negotiation, stakeholder management, and strategic decision-making capabilities.
  • Professional proficiency in English for executive communication, board presentations, regulatory discussions, and international business collaboration.
  • Mandarin proficiency is highly preferred to facilitate communication and coordination with regional and global headquarters.
