Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our dynamic workers’ compensation defense team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience, be proactive, and possess strong organizational and computer skills, as well as a solid understanding of legal process and procedures. This role is essential in supporting attorneys with various tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of our legal practice. The Legal Assistant will work closely with clients and legal professionals, contributing to all aspects of file handling.
Duties
Assist attorneys in drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
Manage case files, using software such as ProLaw and Outlook, ensuring all documents are organized and up-to-date.
Prepare and file court documents in compliance with local rules and regulations.
Assist with electronic billing.
Maintain confidentiality of all client information and adhere to ethical guidelines.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar administrative role within a legal environment.
Proficiency in legal drafting with a strong understanding of Minnesota workers’ compensation defense practice.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write clearly and concisely.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong analytical skills.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.75 – $26.00 per hour
