Position: Employment Counsel for Justworks
Elevate your career as an Employment Counsel at Justworks in a hybrid capacity focused on the Americas. Use your labor law expertise to drive compliance and strategy across diverse jurisdictions.
In this role, you will be pivotal in supporting the Employer-of-Record product within a collaborative Legal team. A background in labor law with strong communication and negotiation skills is essential. Your responsibilities will include analyzing legal risks, advising on employment requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams for supportive compliance measures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze legal risks and employment requirements for the Americas
• Advise on contractual architecture and compliance workflows
• Collaborate with Product on current solutions
• Draft and negotiate commercial contracts across jurisdictions
• Partner with external counsel for regional matters
Requirements:
• Qualified to practice in Canada
• 2 to 3 years of employment law experience
• Knowledge of Employer-of-Record practices
• Experience with Canadian employment compliance
• Proficient in English, another European language is a plus
