Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will provide essential administrative support to attorneys and contribute to the efficient operation of the firm. This role requires strong legal knowledge, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. This is not a paralegal position.
Duties
Manage case files and maintain organized medical records and reports for easy retrieval.
Provide executive administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling appointments and managing calendars.
Answer phone calls with professionalism and provide excellent phone etiquette.
Electronic filing and docketing of pleadings with courts.
Collaborate with clients and external parties to gather necessary information for cases.
Requirements
3+ years as a Legal Assistant or in a similar administrative role within a legal environment.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and meet deadlines.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with office software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, e-filing).
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong sense of discretion.
