Duties Of The Corporation Counsel
The Corporation Counsel shall be and act as the legal adviser of the Common Council and of the
several officers, boards, and departments of the City. The Corporation Counsel shall appear for an
protect the rights and interest of the City in all actions, suits, and proceedings brought by or against it or any City officer, board or department, and such officer, board or department shall not employ other counsel.
The Corporation Counsel serves on the following boards and agencies:
Board of Estimate and Apportionment
Board of Contract and Supply
Binghamton Local Development Corporation Director
Binghamton Urban Renewal Agency Vice Chairman
Preferred Qualifications
Duly licensed and admitted Attorney at Law.
