We’re a well-established general practice law firm with offices in Florida and Texas, and we’re currently seeking a skilled Construction and Lien Litigation Attorney to support our Civil Litigation team on a fully remote 1099 independent contractor basis.
This is a great opportunity for a self-motivated attorney who prefers the autonomy and flexibility of independent work, while still contributing to a high-performing legal team.
Scope of Work:
Represent clients in construction litigation, including lien challenges and defense
Ensure compliance with Florida lien laws and pursue removal/reduction of improper or exaggerated liens
Defend against construction defect and breach of contract claims
Conduct thorough case investigations and represent clients in mediation, arbitration, and court
Manage cases independently from intake through resolution
Requirements:
Active Florida Bar license in good standing
Deep knowledge of Florida Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence
Bench trial experience required (Jury trial experience a major plus)
Strong case management skills and the ability to work independently
Excellent communication, negotiation, and client service skills
Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred
